Throwing Climate Change a Curve

Some people say, why not concentrate on the big climate problems, like China's industrial pollution? What leverage do you have at the individual project level in California and elsewhere?  Well, by 2030 there will be 10 million more Californians.  And we'll need nearly 8 billion more SF of new development of all types so we can live, work and play in this amazing state.  It's easy to imagine all this growth aggravating an already serious climate problem.  The climate future here depends on thousands of individual decisions about how to build.

California's greenhouse gas reduction strategies are already bending the curve of climate change downward, even as our state grows.  On an individual project level, early knowledge about the impacts of our planning decisions, coupled with realistic strategies for reducing our climate impacts can make a huge difference in bending this curve down even sharper.

CarbonPlanner enters the market as an answer for how to get this valuable early information.  As California always does, we'll lead the US in innovation and problem-solving by planning smarter.  Let us help you play a positive role in California's climate leadership.

CarbonPlanner is a tool for making strategic decisions about sustainable, low carbon development for every new development in our communities.
