Don’t Like Delayed Gratification?

Can't wait to open that Christmas present?  Can't stand surprise parties? Want to know what greenhouse gases your project may emit before you have to tell the world? Sneak a look via Carbon Planner.

The image that people have for GHG reporting is CalEEMod-a known and accepted reporting tool. But let's look at getting the right tool for the job.  At the outset of a project, the job is to keep GHG emissions from being an entitlement problem.  We know that CalEEMod is available; we accept and use it (sometimes griping about it, too).  It's designed for durability through the CEQA process, not for agile strategic planning and pre-screening. The advantage of CarbonPlanner is that it complements the CalEEMod concept and provides a sneak peek at what CalEEMod will produce when it's finally unwrapped.  So for action early on, let's get the right tool out of the toolbox-that would be CarbonPlanner.

It's a complement to CalEEMod for pre-screening--basically a faster way of seeing greenhouse gas emissions than CalEEMod when short-term results are needed.

Other benefits for you: it's simple, it's visual, it's instantly interactive, it's even fun.  You'll be able to quickly and easily run as many scenarios as you can dream up, and sort the best ones for further study.  It will feed data into CalEEMod, making that model easier to use.  Soon, it will readout GHG reductions for LEED project credits.  We think you'll like it.

Use the agile and elegant CarbonPlanner now, and eliminate the element of expensive GHG surprise later.
